Exhibition & Interactive Talk: Between Glass and Magnetic Fields

How can the complex physical processes behind Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and the development of Magnetic Resonance sequences be made visible and tangible?
I was pleased to contribute to the Between Glass and Magnetic Fields exhibition opening, interactive talk and reception as part of the Edinburgh Science Festival at Inspace, where artist Gregory Alliss (www.gregoryalliss.com), MR physicist Matthias Günther, Inspace producer Miriam Walsh and I, accompanied by colleagues and school students joining live from the lab in Bremen, discussed MRI, glass and interdisciplinary research with public audiences.
The exhibition featured new work by glass artist and Edinburgh College of Art PhD student Gregory Alliss, and presented the outcome of the collaborative journey undertaken by Alliss, Fraunhofer MEVIS scientists, and school students during the STEAM Imaging VI Residency & Science Engagement project in Bremen, Germany, last November.
